General Safety

General Safety

Security

Due to an increased need for safety, the front door will be locked and you will need a code to access the building. Access code will be given to parent/legal guardian upon enrollment of your child. Please do not give this code to anyone. There is a door bell for anyone not having the code. TTCC staff will come to the door to inquire as to whar business the person has at the center.

TTCC has an open-door policy for parents/legal guardians. Parents/legal guardians are welcome and encouraged to visit anytime.

Parent/Teacher Relationships

Parents will be informed of any unusual occurrences affecting their child. You are asked to remember that the teacher with your child at the end of the day may not be free to discuss at length your child's progress in the program. The other children need the teacher's full attention and supervision. The director cannot engage in long conversation when she is acting as a teacher. If you desire to talk to your child's teacher at length, please set up an appointment during her scheduled work hours with the administrator/director. We will be happy to set up an appointment for you to meet the teacher and provide coverage for the class.

Please address any concerns with your child's teacher forst. Many times, there has just been a miscommunication or perception issue that can be cleared up easily. If it does not work, please contact the director right away for assistance in resolving the matter. Please don't stew because little things easily fixed can grow into something more difficult to settle.

Rest Period

Toddlers & preschoolers will nap between the hours of 1pm and 3pm. Infants will nap according to their own schedules. If you are picking up your child early, it is best to try to do so before or after nap time. Please let your child's teacher know if you are going to pick up your child up at nap time, so the teacher can have your child up and ready for you.

Clothing

The children will be playing outside every day, weather permitting. Please make sure child wears suitable play clothing every day. Make sure your child's name is on all clothing. All children need a complete change of clothes.

Closed toe shoes are required for all children! Open toed shoes, including sandals are not allowed as they do not offer protection. School aged children may bring flip flops for pool area only.
